As the school year comes to a close, we finished the amphitheater by digging a trench down the hill for a power line.
Founded at the start of the 2012/2013 school year, Leave It Better is a group of students, faculty, staff, and alumni who are dedicated to restoring and improving our campus. After receiving so much from out time at Immanuel we just want to try to give back.
Whether it's a small project done at the drop of the hat like shoveling the prof's houses or a larger planned out project like restoring the amphitheater, Leave It Better is working hard to live up to our name.
Our fundraising crew works hard to support the projects we're working on. Now, you can help too! We guarantee that 100% of every dollar we receive will go towards improving campus, because all of our labor comes from volunteers. Thank you for your support!
Looking for ways to help besides donations? We try to post all of our project dates on Facebook and on our website at least one week in advance. Any ideas for future projects? Please let us know and we'll add them to our projects list and try to accomplish them too.
We trimmed the overgrown brush along Ingram Drive last fall
On three Saturdays last fall, students and Alumni worked together to restore the amphitheater. All of the seats have been remade and the steps were reset. Grass has been planted and started coming up a few weeks before the first snow.
The Steps down to the Athletic Fields were finished on Sept. 12
A peninsula by the creek has been cleared and grass is planted.
